Even the rich and famous aren't immune to child custody issues. Recently, Usher filed documents in court denying the claims his ex-wife made against him in regard to his parenting of their two young children.
The singer and his former wife were married in 2007, but just two years later decided to part ways. The former couple shares custody of their children, but recently, the singer's former wife asked the court to grant her full child custody of their two sons.
The children's mother says that the singer is a bad father to their children, and even claims that the singer used drugs around them. She also says that Usher took the children out of the state without her permission.
Additionally, Usher's ex-wife said he cancelled a credit card to Saks 5th Avenue. She also says he owes her $34,000 for nanny services and past due child support payments.
The two will be back in court in late February to sort out the matter.
Child custody issues can be extremely emotional. Parents may have anger towards the other, but at the end of the day, it is important to remember that children are always at the center of custody issues. Child custody issues should be solved with the child's best interest in mind.
Often, these types of issues cannot be solved on their own, and an attorney must intervene. Those in Georgia who are dealing with child custody issues may wish to consult with an experienced attorney. An attorney can help parents resolve their issues, and help determine what the best possible solution is.
